Americans Soaking Up Way More Calories Whilst Dining Out

The National Restaurant Assn. reports that Americans are favoring restaurants in increasing numbers as compared to earlier. That's reason enough to push the panic button since dining out more often means less control over the type of food consumed. Turns out people are tucking in way more calories than might be good for them - even innocuous items like salads can pack a rather severe calorie-laden punch. Fortunately, awareness appears to be setting in with some chain restaurants offering more toned-down dishes, calorie wise, for the more discerning customer.
